Reduce the load of running a church
So the people who run it can spend more of their time on ministry.
Churches and charities run on fragmented software, spreadsheets, disconnected service providers, manual processes, volunteers and thin administrative staff. The consequence isn't just inefficiency — it's that leadership can't see clearly. A treasurer spends a week rebuilding a board report by hand. Nobody can answer "can we afford this hire?" without a spreadsheet exercise. Giving lives in one system, attendance in another, the ledger in a third, so no system can explain what actually changed or why.
Taratone builds the operating infrastructure for that problem. Not a finance dashboard, and not another church management system — a connected platform where a church's people, money, ministry and decisions sit on one governed data model.
We started with finance because it's the highest-pain, lowest-competition entry point, it produces the data every other part of the church benefits from, and it's where trust is won or lost first. It is the beachhead, not the destination.
How we build
The engine calculates, AI explains
Every number comes from a deterministic engine with a governed definition. AI narrates and drafts; it never invents a figure, and it never approves anything consequential.
Coexistence, not rip-and-replace
A church can adopt Tara without abandoning Planning Center or QuickBooks on day one. Each organization names its own system of record, per domain.
Trust is evidence, not marketing
We publish what's in the product today and what's still ahead, and we don't claim certifications we don't hold. Security is the product, not a compliance checkbox.
Church-shaped, not generic
Restricted funds, designated giving, fiscal calendars, CRA chart-of-accounts mapping, disbursement quota. Generic accounting software has no concept of any of it.
Taratone Corporation is a Canadian company. Tara.OS is our platform for churches; we also run brand, media and advisory practices that serve the same organizations.
